Art work by Dieppa

I work in a series of inter-related
paintings that explore issues of
class, race, gender, sexuality and
community. I do this by getting into
different "storytelling voices" to
reflect different perspectives and
positions on these issues through
a historical lens. Each series is a
different voice.

I welcome you to explores these
stories and caution you to look at
your own perspective and relation
to these issues and the symbols
you see in the work. More than
anything, my work is about creating
a dialogue with people and
encouraging them to contribute
their voice.

This is my story told to you with
humor, anger, and hopefully grace.
